They are disgusting people who voted to have over 500 geese including baby geese euthanized.
They are disgusting people who voted to have over 500 geese including baby geese euthanized. This HOA had the option to safely remove the geese instead they chose to murder them and their babies it's so disgusting the way they use their power.

HOA used residents dues to pay for killing… The residents were at a majority against this and they used their money to kill over 500 innocent geese. They could have used that money for clean up services. I lived in that neighborhood for 20 years and the geese have never bothered me.

Rich cowards who don't care to murder wildlife!
Rich cowards who don't care to murder wildlife!!! Mass euthanization of wildlife due to inconvenience. Cowards hiding behind their wealth and status. Not following through with offers to help for FREE. Imagine slaughtering 550 innocent healthy geese and then trying to erase the public backlash. Absolutely cowardly. Claim to be a beautiful community surrounded by wildlife and the Joe Wheeler Wildlife Reservoir, until it becomes an inconvenience to the wealthy people and their sidewalks
FAQ
Alabama HOA Questions
Q1:Is there a state law governing HOAs in Alabama?
Yes. Alabama HOAs are primarily governed by the Alabama Uniform Condominium Act (for condos) and general corporate law. Alabama does not have a comprehensive HOA act like some states, so CC&Rs and bylaws carry significant legal weight.
Q2:Can an Alabama HOA foreclose on a home for unpaid dues?
Yes. Alabama HOAs can place a lien on a property for unpaid assessments and may pursue foreclosure, though the process requires court action (judicial foreclosure).
Q3:Do Alabama HOA meetings have to be open to all members?
Generally yes. Most Alabama HOA bylaws require that regular and annual meetings be open to all members in good standing, though executive sessions for legal or personnel matters may be closed.
