Harassed by HOA Board While Undergoing Chemo. Review Text: We are currently homeowners in our Community, but back in March of 2026 we were renting. Our lease was coming up for renewal. The homeowners offered us a two-year renewal. However before we coul get the documents to sign, our New HOA Board President with whom I have had mutual issues with dictated to the Association Attorney a Cease and Desist order against me. In a social media group there was a statement that they could get my landlord to run me off. There is a clause that allows the Association to fine the homeowner if the tenant is a "nuisance." Nuisance is never defined. So, once my homeowners recieved the Cease and Desist, we were offered a one-year lease renewal with stipulations. We never learned what the stipulations were as the next day a member of the Association contacted the homeowner. (Statement provided to us as well as emails from Property Management Company on-file). At that point we were told we would not be renewed. Fortunately in the end this gave us the push to become homeowners in the Community. Since then many people have complained about the Board and the President in particular. The Board faced the first ever recall action of ANY Board. However the quorum was not met due to the number of corporate rental properties. I would like to reinforce that this is an issue with an out of control Board solely. CAMs, our property management company has been outstanding.
